Nest #6 status and archive, 2009-10

This pair has not been in our study before and neither adult wears a band. We can tell the female from the male by slight differences in their beaks although that is much harder than the band system. They have selected a nest site in our Lakeshore colony near Pony Lake and are neighbors of Nest #5. This is a breeding group of about 30 nests. We do not know how old these birds are, but we will follow them this year as they raise their chicks.

Nov 18, This is the first pictures of this pair. They have one egg.

Nov 21, They have two eggs.
